RARE AF Australian Rainbow Lattice Sunstone - a mouthful of confetti! This stone is only found in the Rainbow Serpent Mine (Harts Range) in the Northern Territory of the Australian Outback. It is a type of feldspar (same family as moonstone) and contains the aventurescence effect, or sparkly freckles, confetti, and party streamers. Hematite and magnetite are responsible for creating the crystallographically oriented sparkles which look like tiny shiny triangles (confetti) and twining blades (lattice streamers). Oxidization and geophysical wear and tear makes those tiny inclusions iridescent to our eyeballs!
This stone contains two incredible iridescent veils, which are delicate fissures within the body of the stone.
